Vertex AI Grows with New Video, Image, Speech, and Music Generative AI Tools

Google Cloud's Vertex AI platform is set to become even more potent with the introduction of new generative AI features across video, image, speech, and music generation. The new tools seek to democratize content creation and equip businesses with advanced AI tools to improve their products and services.

Growing the Generative AI Frontier

Vertex AI has already proved itself as an end-to-end platform for machine learning processes, providing functions for data preparation, model training, and deployment. Google now takes a step further by uniting sophisticated generative models for different modalities.

"Our aspiration is to make enterprise-level generative AI capabilities available, responsible, and customized to actual business requirements," states Sarah Chen, Google Cloud VP of AI Products. "These new features mark the culmination of several years of research and development in multimodal AI."

  1. Lyria, Google's text-to-music model, is now in private preview with allowlist on Vertex AI. Customers can now create full, production-quality assets beginning with a text prompt.

  1. Imagen 3 has better image creation and inpainting abilities for filling in missing or damaged areas of an image and is making object removal edits even better.

Integration and Availability

The new capabilities are engineered to integrate natively with current Vertex AI pipelines, as well as Google Workspace, YouTube, and other Google services. APIs for developer integration will be offered, enabling companies to embed these features into their own applications and services.

"This Isn't about creating sexy demos—it's about fixing real business challenges," says Chen. "Whether that's lowering the cost of content creation, facilitating personalization at scale, or building new classes of products and services."

Looking Ahead

These new capabilities are a substantial addition to Vertex AI's already formidable lineup. As generative AI develops further and becomes more mature, Google's dedication to delivering enterprise-ready tools positions it at the center of this tech revolution.

"We're only at the starting line of seeing how generative AI will change business," Rodriguez considers. "The tools we're launching today will improve exponentially over the next few years, revealing possibilities we can hardly envision now."

For companies wanting to lead the way in content creation and AI innovation, these new Vertex AI features present a compelling roadmap.
